Callus Induction and Plant Regeneration from Carum copticum and Assessment of Antioxidant Responses and Phytochemical Profiling by In Vitro Salinity Stress

Higher production of secondary metabolites is one the adaptive responses to alleviate impact environmental injuries. In present investigation, these with medicinal importance induced by salinity in Carum copticum was investigated. To develop a better way for substances, callogenesis and plant regeneration were analyzed, seeds, calli, and/or regenerated seedlings exposed different concentrations NaCl under vitro culture conditions. The maximum frequency callus induction obtained on medium supplemented 0.25 mg L−1 2, 4-dichlorophenoxyacetic (2,4-D) 1 benzyl amino purine (BAP) from stem explants. Plant multiple shoots pieces transferred MS fortified 2,4-D 1.5 BAP. Four weeks after treatment, substantial increase accumulation reducing sugars proline as compatible osmolytes activity antioxidant enzymes. Total phenolics anthocyanin significantly increased all samples increasing concentrations; however, showed reduction compounds at severe concentration compared control. Moreover, enhanced thymol, γ-terpinene, sabinene, myrcene well carvacrol, limonene, α-terpinene seedlings. These results suggest that has marked improving content essential oils C. copticum, whose might be most salt tolerant tested samples.
